Awarding 250 scholarships to poor students who overcome difficulties

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 23, the Hoang Mai Town Education Promotion Association in coordination with Nghi Son Cement Company organized a ceremony to award scholarships to poor students who have overcome difficulties, and to award prizes to excellent students and teachers with excellent students at the provincial and national levels in the 2016-2017 school year.

At the ceremony, the units awarded 110 scholarships to poor students who have overcome difficulties, each worth 1 million VND, of which, Nghi Son Cement Company awarded 100 scholarships; Viettel Military Telecommunications Corporation awarded 10 scholarships. In addition, Nghe An Province's Association for Promoting Education and Hoang Mai Town's Association for Promoting Education also awarded 140 scholarships to poor students who have overcome difficulties, each worth 500,000 VND.

On this occasion, Hoang Mai town also awarded 125 excellent students at provincial and national levels and teachers who trained excellent students with a total prize of 91 million VND.
