Polish Ambassador donates 2 heating beds worth 600 million VND to Nghe An General Hospital

(Baonghean.vn) -Two newborn care warming beds worth a total of 600 million VND sponsored by the Polish Embassy have been received by Nghe An General Hospital.

On behalf of the gift recipient, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Huong - Deputy Director of Nghe An General Hospital, recalled that in 2014 and 2015, the hospital was honored to welcome a delegation from the Polish Embassy to visit and present ventilators, incubators, and monitors to the Obstetrics Department. In 3 years, 11,000 newborns were born here, many of whom had health problems, 230 had to use monitors to monitor their vital signs, and 225 premature babies were raised in incubators.

"Every breath, every weak heartbeat of the babies has been cherished and preserved by the hospital's doctors and nurses and the equipment donated by the Embassy," the hospital leader shared.Thank you for the valuable and practical gift from the Polish Embassy.

Attending the ceremony during her third visit to Nghe An General Hospital, Ambassador Barbara Szymanowska emphasized that this is one of the opportunities to further strengthen the friendship between the Vietnamese and Polish peoples.

“We have cooperated since the 1980s of the last century and Poland always wants to support Nghe An to improve its healthcare capabilities through gifts of modern medical equipment, training and education for medical staff with the common goal of public health,” the Polish Ambassador affirmed.

Two heated beds purchased with the budget of the Polish Support Fund, under the country's Development Cooperation program, are expected to help Nghe An General Hospital increase its ability to protect the lives of premature babies.

“Although the gift is quite modest, it carries a great emotional message, with the main mission being to improve healthcare for newborns - the future of the nation,” emphasized Ms. Barbara Szymanowska.
