National Assembly Deputy Tran Quoc Vuong emphasized this at the discussion session in groups when mentioning the work of preventing negativity and corruption in recent times.

On the morning of October 24, National Assembly deputies discussed in groups the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and state budget in 2017; the socio-economic development plan, state budget estimates, central budget allocation plan in 2018 and the national three-year state finance-budget plan for 2018-2020.

“All are placed on the table of the highest authority”

Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Quoc Vuong said that in the difficult situation, entering 2017, besides the advantages, there are many great internal challenges. The challenges of nature are increasingly fierce, but we have achieved such achievements, which are efforts recognized by the National Assembly.

Delegate Tran Quoc Vuong discussed in groups, morning of October 24

In 2017, the Party, State and National Assembly focused on a number of policies to resolve difficulties and problems of the economy such as handling bad debt, handling weak credit institutions, handling projects...

“Everything is put on the table of the highest leadership bodies of the Party, the National Assembly, and the Government to make decisions. However, this issue must be postponed for a while and cannot be done immediately,” said delegate Tran Quoc Vuong.

The Standing Member of the Secretariat and Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee also affirmed that the recognized point is to promote the fight against negativity, corruption, and Party building in the spirit of the 12th Central Resolution 4.

“We create trust for the people, also make all activities in society gradually become orderly, alert, prevent and warn, create a better environment in production and society. All the competitiveness indexes that international organizations evaluate, we have many increased points” – Mr. Tran Quoc Vuong said.

Noting that there are only 3 months left while this year's target is 6.7% growth, the Yen Bai delegation representative said that we must strive hard, because it is not simple. If we continue to be average like now, we cannot achieve it, there must be a breakthrough and the important thing is still sustainable development, not development at all costs.

“We should not only talk about the limitations of BOT”

Expressing agreement on the targets in the 2018 orientation, delegate Tran Quoc Vuong emphasized that there must be a breakthrough mechanism to mobilize capital, especially capital from the people.

Referring to BOT projects, Mr. Tran Quoc Vuong affirmed that this is a very correct idea. “The press must also talk about the positive side, not just the negative side. BOT is mobilizing social resources to build infrastructure. Without social resources, how can it be done? The same goes for other countries! The problem is how to make it transparent and healthy.”

Noting the impact of climate change, Mr. Tran Quoc Vuong expressed: “It must be said that it is fierce! Last year there was saltwater intrusion in the South, drought in the Central region, and this year there were flash floods in the Northwestern provinces. Here, a lot of money is invested but it must become a requirement of the socio-economic development process, accumulating from small to large so that each person when doing economic projects must think about adapting to climate change.”

Mr. Tran Quoc Vuong also emphasized focusing on implementing the resolutions and decisions of the Party and State on building a clean, strong, streamlined, and effectively operating State apparatus.

“The 6th Central Resolution has been issued and there are two very important Resolutions on the organizational apparatus. If we successfully do this, it will create great strength, promote the fight against waste and solve many aspects” – Mr. Tran Quoc Vuong said./.
