Coach Park Hang Seo watches HAGL's players, ignores U23 Asia draw
Tomorrow afternoon (October 25), the new captain of the Vietnamese team, Park Hang Seo, will arrive in Vietnam and head straight to Pleiku to watch Mr. Duc's troops. The Korean coach received the results of the draw for the U23 Vietnam team at the 2019 AFC U23 Championship in Korea.
Instead of returning to Vietnam on October 23, Coach Park Hang Seo has postponed his trip to Vietnam for 2 days to start working. Coach Park Hang Seo's flight will land at Tan Son Nhat Airport (HCMC) instead of Noi Bai (Hanoi). As soon as he arrives in HCMC, Mr. Park will head straight to Pleiku to watch the HAGL vs. Hanoi match in round 23 of the V-League on October 27.

This will be the first match where the Korean coach will see Mr. Duc's talented players compete in the V-League. Surely, the upcoming training camp will see many HAGL players, and coach Park Hang Seo wants to personally grade the players.
In particular, in this match, midfielder Tuan Anh is likely to return after a long injury. In addition, striker Cong Phuong's ankle injury has also recovered very quickly and may also be on the field to meet the Korean coach.

Besides, at Hanoi Club, many players such as Van Quyet, Van Hau, Duy Manh... also need to be tested for their performance before being called back to the national team to play Afghanistan on November 14.
While "packing" to go to Vietnam to work, Coach Park Hang Seo comfortably received the results of the draw for the AFC U23 Championship group stage of Vietnam U23. Instead of going to China to attend the draw, Mr. Park waited for the results of the group stage in Korea.
AFC has now divided the seeding groups for next year’s finals, based on the teams’ performance at the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship in Qatar. Vietnam U-23 is in group 4 along with Malaysia, Palestine and Oman. This is the group for teams that have not achieved good results as coach Miura’s team has lost all 3 matches against Jordan, UAE and Australia.
Pot 3 includes Uzbekistan, Thailand, Syria and Saudi Arabia. Pot 2 includes Qatar, Jordan, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and Australia. Pot 1 includes hosts China, defending champions Japan, runners-up South Korea and Iraq.
AFC did not give specific regulations on the principles of the draw but only said in general that the final round will have 4 groups, each group consisting of 4 teams from 4 groups. Therefore, it is not impossible that U23 Vietnam will meet U23 Thailand or strong teams such as Korea, Japan, Jordan in the group stage.
