Military Hospital 4 is the final hospital of the Military Region, equivalent to the provincial level.In addition to the function of receiving, treating and ensuring the health of soldiers in the entire Military Region, the hospital also provides medical examination and treatment for health insurance beneficiaries who register for initial medical examination and treatment at the hospital and receives all health insurance beneficiaries transferred from general and specialized medical examination and treatment facilities in and outside the public sector in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces when needed.

To meet the increasing demands of officers, soldiers and people, the leadership, officers and staff of Military Hospital 4 always strive to continuously improve their professional skills and practice medical ethics. In particular, the hospital has invested hundreds of billions of VND, built spacious infrastructure, clean and beautiful campus and purchased modern machinery systems to serve medical examination and treatment.

Currently, the hospital has a team of highly qualified staff, with basic and advanced training, the proportion of university graduates accounts for more than 67%. The hospital also strives to apply information technology to the medical examination and treatment process, aiming to become the first park-hotel hospital.

Since 2013, the Hospital has been equipped with a 128-row CT-Scanner, one of the most advanced machines, capable of performing full-body CT scans. The machine has a multi-detector structure, the fastest rotation time is 0.3 seconds on a slice thickness of only 0.6mm, so it can simultaneously capture 128 slices. In addition, the resolution of the machine can reach 0.24mm, allowing the detection of very small lesions. The 128-row CT Scanner is also capable of reproducing images with the same high diagnostic value on multiple cross-sections in different directions, giving much better results than conventional clinical applications on previous CT machines.

In addition to the ability to diagnose common diseases, the 128-slice CT Scanner can also detect early dangerous diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, etc. In particular, with the support of other high technologies, the 128-slice CT Scanner can create detailed and clear images of blood vessels, especially coronary arteries, to help timely intervene and treat cardiovascular diseases. In order to create conditions for patients to enjoy the highest benefits under the health insurance regime, the hospital has equipped an additional modern 16-slice multi-slice spiral CT-Scanner.

The hospital has 0.3 and 1.5 Tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machines. Of which, the 1.5 Tesla MRI machine is the most advanced machine in the world. Currently, MRI is used to examine most organs in the body, especially valuable in taking detailed images of the brain or spinal nerves.

MRI provides high quality images with good resolution and contrast, helping doctors to assess lesions in detail and diagnose diseases accurately, in many cases, better than other imaging techniques such as ultrasound, X-ray and CT scan.

This technique is non-toxic and does not cause radiation like other examinations such as X-ray, CT scan, or PET/CT. In particular, with a reasonable examination cost, only 1/3 compared to PET/CT, whole body MRI is currently the best choice for early detection of cancer.

In addition, the hospital is also equipped with many other modern machines such as: New generation endoscopy machines; modern bone density measuring machines; modern multi-parameter automatic testing machines; 3D and 4D color ultrasound machines; High-class oxygen treatment chambers; artificial kidney and blood filtration machines; digital X-ray machines; C-arm X-rays....
