With the majority of students residing off-campus or temporarily, the school always focuses on ensuring security and order. In fact, compared to previous years, the number of students violating the law has decreased significantly.
However, according to Major Manh Thuy Nga - Department PA83 of the Provincial Police, the security and order situation inside and outside the school still has many things to pay attention to, that is, the number of teachers, students and pupils affected by distorted articles, opposing the Party, the State, the regime,... is increasing, which leads to ideological wavering.
More specifically, some teachers, students and pupils regularly post, comment and share articles with distorted content, inciting sabotage by hostile and reactionary forces; some encourage illegal activities, even using their personal Facebook pages to entice friends to commit violations;
Some students take advantage of the mistakes and shortcomings of the government and teachers to incite and call for opposition, greatly affecting security and order issues... in schools.

In addition, traffic safety violations such as not wearing helmets, not obeying traffic lights, not having a driving license, carrying more passengers than the prescribed number, and violating alcohol concentration levels tend to increase; there are still cases of property theft, gambling, intentional injury, betting, illegal drug trafficking, etc.
In the 2016-2017 school year, Vinh University enforced disciplinary action by forcing 1 student to leave school, suspending 1 student, giving 1 school-wide warning, and summoning and reminding 125 cases. |
So, in order for students to properly implement the Party's policies and the State's laws, and especially to "resist" illegal acts, Major Manh Thuy Nga said that the school needs to continue to promote ideological education and disseminate legal education through school activities, block and street activities.
Speaking at the conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Ngo Dinh Phuong - Vice Principal of the school requested the police force, specifically the PA 83 Department of the Provincial Police, to provide information on students and teachers who have posted distorted and destructive content so that the school can take decisive action.
Associate Professor, Dr. Ngo Dinh Phuong affirmed that students have entered university, which means they are investing their youth and their family's money in their future, so schools cannot let the negative aspects of social networks affect their thoughts and psychology. At the same time, he emphasized that schools are not only places to impart knowledge but also places to train citizens who are responsible to society and the country, so they will never accept people with anti-government and discontent thoughts.
