Today the National Assembly approved the new Minister of Transport, Inspector General

The results of the approval of the new Minister of Transport and the Government Inspector General were announced this afternoon.

Continuing personnel work, this morning, October 26, the National Assembly approved the appointment of two new Government members by secret ballot.

Yesterday afternoon, after the National Assembly dismissed Mr. Truong Quang Nghia from the position of Minister of Transport and Mr. Phan Van Sau from the position of Government Inspector General, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc introduced Mr. Nguyen Van The - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee to the National Assembly for approval to hold the position of Minister of Transport; Mr. Le Minh Khai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee to hold the position of Government Inspector General.

This afternoon, the National Assembly will hear the announcement of the vote counting results and pass a resolution approving the appointment of the new Minister of Transport and the Government Inspector General.

Mr. Nguyen Van The, 51 years old, from Thap Muoi, Dong Thap province; PhD in transportation; currently a member of the 12th Party Central Committee, Secretary of Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee.

Graduated from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, then studied at Moscow University of Road Transport (former Soviet Union), when returning to Vietnam in 1989, Mr. The worked at the Traffic Equipment and Materials Service Company - Irrigation of Thap Muoi district and transferred to the Traffic and Public Works Department of Thap Muoi district in 1992.

He successively held positions such as Deputy Director of Dong Thap Province Traffic Design Survey Enterprise; Deputy Director of Dong Thap Province Department of Transport; Secretary of Tan Hong District Party Committee; Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee.

In June 2013, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Transport.

In October 2015, the Politburo appointed Mr. Nguyen Van The to hold the position of Secretary of the Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term.

Mr. Le Minh Khai, 53 years old, from Vinh Phu Tay commune, Phuoc Long district, Bac Lieu; Master of Accounting and Auditing, senior political officer.

Mr. Khai worked at the State Audit when this agency was first established. Since March 2007, he has held the position of Deputy State Auditor General.

In 2014, he was transferred to the Executive Committee of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee and held the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee. On June 9, 2014, the Bac Lieu Provincial People's Council held an extraordinary session to elect Mr. Khai as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, because more than a month earlier, former Chairman of the Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Be passed away at the age of 59 due to a serious illness.

On October 2, 2015, Mr. Khai was elected to hold the position of Secretary of Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee for the 2010-2015 term, replacing Mr. Vo Van Dung, who was transferred by the Politburo to work in the Central Government.

On October 29, 2015, at the Congress of Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term, he was re-elected as Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

At the 12th Party Congress, he was elected to the Central Executive Committee.
