Neymar received a one-match suspension

The PSG star will miss this weekend's clash with Nice after picking up a red card in the previous round.

Neymar received two yellow cards in the final three minutes of PSG's 2-2 draw with Marseille in the 10th round of Ligue 1 on October 23. The second card came from a cold push on opponent Lucas Ocampos.

Despite the view that Neymar's actions were violent, the Ligue 1 organizing committee pointed out that the lightest penalty for a red card is a one-match suspension. The world's most expensive player will have to sit out PSG's match against Nice on the evening of October 27.

If he commits a similar foul before the end of the 2017-2018 season, Neymar will receive an additional one-match suspension.

This is the first time Neymar has been sent off since leaving Barca. He has 10 goals in 11 games for PSG.

Before the red card mentioned above, Neymar had been sent off seven other times in his career. The Brazilian attacking star's "achievement" is even more than some notorious central defenders such as Pepe or Giorgio Chiellini.
