Arrest of the leader of 14 people who killed people in broad daylight
On October 28, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Sy Han - Deputy Head of the Criminal Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police confirmed that a reconnaissance team had surrounded and arrested Ha Van Thanh (23 years old), residing in My Dong village, Van Luong commune, Van Ninh district - the leader of a group of thugs who brought weapons to the street to kill people in broad daylight.
Earlier, at noon on September 10, Ha Van Thanh directed 14 "juniors" to split into two groups, riding motorbikes, carrying knives, machetes, swords... to the Hung Vuong - Huynh Thuc Khang intersection and the Hung Vuong - Luong The Vinh intersection, Van Gia town, Van Ninh district (Khanh Hoa) to hunt down opponents with whom they had a previous fierce conflict.

When discovering Ho Duy Khanh - nicknamed "Old Ti" (25 years old) residing in Binh Trung 2 village, Van Binh commune, along with two subjects Nguyen Quoc Kha (25 years old), Pham Ngoc Hoa (26 years old) residing in Phu Cang Nam, Van Phu commune carrying swords to the Hung Vuong - Luong The Vinh intersection, Thanh's group rushed in, blocked, chased, causing chaos in a corner of Van Gia street.
Kha and Hoa escaped into a resident's house to hide, while Khanh was slashed many times by Thanh and dozens of others with knives, machetes, swords... causing the victim to collapse on the side of Hung Vuong street.
Due to multiple injuries from 19 stab wounds, Ho Duy Khanh died on the way to Van Ninh District Medical Center for emergency treatment.
14 members of the murder group were prosecuted and detained on September 22, while the ringleader, Ha Van Thanh, is in hiding and is wanted nationwide.
After nearly 50 days of intense searching since the incident, on the afternoon of October 27, criminal investigators captured this subject when he had just secretly returned to his home in My Dong village, Van Luong commune, Van Ninh district.
