Internal documents dated five months after President Kennedy's death detailed intelligence information the FBI received from an informant, stating that police officer JD Tippit was the one who shot the 35th President of the United States, not Oswald.

Oswald was later shot dead by Jack Ruby, a mafia-affiliated nightclub owner who owned the club where Oswald was seen with Tippit.

Another noteworthy point is that the declassified document also mentioned that sources close to the Soviet intelligence agency (KGB) told American spies that Moscow believed that Oswald was not the only gunman in the assassination of Mr. Kennedy.
