Tropical depression strengthens into storm No. 12, heading towards the South Central region
(Baonghean.vn) - This morning (November 2), the tropical depression has strengthened into a storm, the 12th storm with the international name Damrey.
At 7 o'clock,The center of the storm is located at about 12.5 degrees North latitude; 117.5 degrees East longitude, about 380km East Northeast of Song Tu Tay Island. The strongest wind near the center of the storm is level 8 (60-75km/h), gusting to level 10.
Forecast for the next 24 hours,The storm is moving mainly in a westerly direction, traveling about 20km per hour and is likely to strengthen. At 7:00 a.m. on November 3, the center of the storm was at about 12.3 degrees North latitude; 113.2 degrees East longitude, about 420km east of the coast of Binh Dinh-Ninh Thuan provinces. The strongest wind near the center of the storm is level 9-10 (75-100km/h), gusting to level 14.
Due to the impact of the storm, the Central East Sea area (including the sea area north of Truong Sa archipelago) will have showers and thunderstorms, strong winds of level 6-7, the area near the storm center will have strong winds of level 9-10, gusts of level 13-14; very rough seas. In the next 24 hours, the dangerous area (strong winds of level 6 or higher) will be around 10-14 degrees North latitude; East of 111.0 degrees East longitude. Disaster risk level: Level 3.

The strongest wind near the center of the storm is level 10-11 (90-115km/hour), gusting to level 14.
