Before the away trip to Stamford Bridge this weekend, MU received good news when midfielder Paul Pogba returned to normal training with his teammates.

Since suffering a hamstring injury in the Champions League group stage match against Basel in the early morning of September 13 (Vietnam time), Pogba has been unable to participate in the last 10 matches of MU in all competitions. Recently, the French midfielder has been in the US to treat and recover from the injury.

According to The Sun (UK), after a period of injury recovery in the US, Pogba has returned to training with his teammates at the Aon Training Complex.

However, when asked about the possibility of Pogba returning to the starting lineup when MU visits Chelsea in round 11 of the Premier League at Stamford Bridge next Sunday, coach Jose Mourinho refused to confirm.

Mourinho said: “I have to wait a little bit. We have Friday and Saturday to prepare for the Chelsea game. I am not too optimistic that Pogba will start the trip to Stamford Bridge but I would be lying if I said he has no chance to be fit to play.

I still have 2 days to confirm whether my expectation is happening or not. So the next 2 days will be very important in my personnel decision making process.”

If Pogba cannot reach his best physical condition, Mourinho will likely keep his student on the bench to avoid him getting injured again.
