Nghe An farmers begin to approach regulations on labeling Vinh oranges

(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Department of Science and Technology has just organized a training course on the Regulations on management and use of geographical indications of Vinh oranges for cooperatives producing and trading orange products in Nghia Dan.

At the training session, households and cooperatives growing oranges heard about the Regulations on management and use of the geographical indication "Vinh" for orange fruit products of Nghe An province; procedures for granting a Certificate of right to use the geographical indication "Vinh"; application documents for granting a Certificate of right to use the geographical indication "Vinh"; extension of the validity of the Certificate of right to use the geographical indication "Vinh"; revocation of the Certificate of right to use the geographical indication "Vinh".

In addition, the Department of Science and Technology also disseminates and popularizes legal documents on intellectual property, and on the Regulations on management and use of geographical indications "Vinh" for orange products in the area.

This training session will end in November 2017. After completing the training in Nghia Dan, the training will continue in Quy Hop and the remaining units.

Through the training course, cooperatives will clearly understand the regulations for managing and using the geographical indication of Vinh orange from root to tip in a scientific and professional manner, from producers, circulation to consumers, so that oranges can become a key crop, firmly affirming their position in the market.

It is known that on November 8, Nghe An will officially label Vinh oranges for households and farms that meet the standards.
