Nghe An leads in the number of contestants participating in the contest 'Pride of Vietnam'

(Baonghean.vn) - By the end of November 4, the end of week 4 of the "Pride of Vietnam" contest, Nghe An was the province with the largest number of contestants.

The second "Pride of Vietnam" national history and culture contest in 2017 was organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Training for students of high schools and Vocational Education - Continuing Education Centers nationwide.

This is a meaningful activity to educate ethics, lifestyle, and revolutionary ideals for young people, while also practically welcoming the 11th National Youth Union Congress. The contest is also a healthy and useful playground for union members and students; arousing the spirit of passion for learning history and national pride in young union members...

Starting from October 8 and ending in mid-December, the contest consists of two parts: Individual online contest through contestants' login accounts (with 4 contents: Following history, Decoding history, Famous people of Vietnam, Pride of Vietnam) and video clip creation contest, scored through votes from the online community.

After 4 weeks of exciting competition, ending the qualifying round of "Pride of Vietnam", Nghe An had 41,290 contestants participating, leading the top provinces/cities with the most contestants in the country, followed by Ho Chi Minh City (18,486 contestants) and Quang Ngai (15,362 contestants).

Thanh Chuong 3 High School is honored to be the leading school nationwide (out of more than 1,000 schools) in terms of the number of candidates participating in the contest (6,002 candidates, accounting for nearly 1/7 of the total number of candidates in the province).

The “Pride of Vietnam” contest is preparing to enter the final round at the provincial, city and national levels with many attractive prizes for outstanding groups and individuals.
