Nghe An received 15 billion VND in support to overcome landslides.

(Baonghean.vn)-The Vietnam Road Administration has just supported Nghe An with 15 billion VND to repair 3 national highways that were severely damaged by recent storms and rains.

Due to the impact of recent storms and floods, many roads in Nghe An have suffered serious landslides. The Vietnam Road Administration has supported Nghe An with 15 billion VND to repair the damage, and the Department of Transport is allocating funds and carrying out repairs.

A representative of the Department of Transport's Capital Department said: The Department will allocate support resources mainly for repairing landslides on negative and positive slopes and repairing damaged bridges and culverts for three key traffic routes, including: National Highway 16 worth 11 billion VND, National Highway 48 D worth 2.6 billion VND, National Highway 48 E worth 1.4 billion VND.

Up to this point, the above 3 routes have basically been leveled with more than 51,000 m.3Landslide; In progress of treating negative slope with steel gabion revetment and boulders (currently 6 negative slope landslides have been treated).

It is expected that by December 2017, traffic management units will complete step 1, and if there is continued funding from the Central Government, they will deploy the treatment of rock gabion embankments at the remaining negative slope landslide locations.

In addition, the Department of Transport directed traffic management units to continue repairing slightly damaged national highways such as sidewalks, rebuilding eroded longitudinal ditches...
