Smuggling 10 thousand packs of cigarettes worth 300 million VND

The Economic Police Department said it had just discovered and seized a car carrying 10,000 packs of smuggled 555 brand cigarettes worth 300 million.

Through professional work, at around 9:00 p.m. on November 9, at the Liem Can gas station in Liem Can commune, Thanh Liem district (Ha Nam), the Economic Police Department of Ha Nam Public Security discovered and arrested a car with license plate 30E - 32341, Toyota Innova brand, driven by Dang Quang Thuan, 27 years old, residing in Hoang Mai district, Hanoi, in the direction of Hanoi - Ha Nam, carrying many bags of suspicious goods.

At the time of inspection, the police discovered 20 cartons of smuggled cigarettes, brand 555, in the sacks.

At the police station, Thuan confessed that he was hired by a person named Hang to transport the above goods from Hanoi to Ha Nam for a subject to send to Ho Chi Minh City.

Currently, the police are completing the documents to handle according to the provisions of law.
