Ronaldo happy with girlfriend 'mother and child safe'

The Real Madrid player was with Georgina Rodriguez as she gave birth to baby girl Alana Martina on November 12 in Madrid.

Martina is Ronaldo's fourth child but the first whose mother has been identified. The Real Madrid forward posted a photo on Instagram of his girlfriend holding the newborn baby, alongside six-year-old Cristiano Jr. All three were smiling happily.

Georgina Rodriguez, 24, was reported to be pregnant in February. She gave birth to daughter Martina nine days earlier than expected by the Spanish press. Ronaldo confirmed her pregnancy in July in an interview with El Mundo. The couple began dating in late 2016. Georgina is Ronaldo's first girlfriend since his split from model Irina Shayk.

"Being a father is a unique and special journey, something that has completely changed me. It has taught me lessons about love that I never knew. It has made me softer and given me a different perspective on what is really important in life," Ronaldo confided last week when asked about fatherhood.

After showing off her pregnant belly on the cover of Hola magazine, Georgina seems to be more confident in her public appearances. At The Best awards ceremony in late October, when Ronaldo received the best player award, his girlfriend also attracted attention when she wore a sexy dress, showing off her eight-month pregnant belly.

"I can't wait to be a father again. Being a father and seeing my family grow is the greatest joy I've ever had. Spending time with my loved ones, being with them, laughing with my children, all of that brings so much joy to my life," Ronaldo said.

In June this year, Ronaldo welcomed two more twins, a boy and a girl. But like Cristiano Jr., the identity of the mother of son Mateo and daughter Eva was kept secret by Ronaldo. There was information in the press that the twins were born through in vitro fertilization and were given to a surrogate mother in the US.

Ronaldo was not included in the recent call-up of the Portuguese national team.
