Former MU player becomes PVF football director

Manchester United football legend Ryan Giggs has officially accepted the position of football director of the PVF Youth Football Training Center.

With the aspiration to go beyond the regional scope, in addition to organizing exchanges and cooperation with professional and traditional football clubs in the world, PVF Youth Football Training Center under Vingroup Corporation also invests deeply in facilities and human resources.

Specifically, on the day of inauguration and operation of the new center in Hung Yen (November 20), PVF will officially appoint football star Ryan Giggs, the legendary former captain of Manchester United, to the position of football director of the center. Ryan Giggs will be responsible for training players and coaches, and at the same time participate in building and developing PVF to become the number 1 football training center in Vietnam and in the future, it can become a football center that creates a buzz in the world.

Former talented midfielder Paul Scholes, one of the pillars of Manchester United Club during the golden age of the “Red Devils”, will support Ryan Giggs in the early period. For young players, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes have always been symbols of passion, talent and effort to reach technical perfection, of perseverance to maintain peak performance and of wholehearted dedication to the flag and shirt.

The joining of famous players Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes to the PVF staff is part of the operational strategy towards the standards of world professional football. In addition to the two names above, PVF is also completing a team of prestigious and experienced foreign experts. Currently, PVF has 1 technical director, 2 coaches, 1 goalkeeper coach, 2 sports science experts, 1 physiotherapist from Premier League clubs.

Also on the day of the center's inauguration, PVF organized the U.15 international quadrangle with the participation of 4 leading teams from different continents including Stoke City (England), Central Coast Mariners (Australia), Busan I'park (Korea) and PVF - the current champion of the national U.15 tournament, with 6 players participating in the U.15 Vietnam team that won the 2017 Southeast Asian U.15 tournament and 6 players with U.16 Vietnam qualified for the 2018 Asian U.16 finals. The tournament will be played at the PVF center field under the supervision of Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes.
