Ms. Le Thi Thuong, a small trader on Quang Trung Street, Vinh City, who sells oranges with traceability labels, said: On average, she sells 1-2 quintals of oranges per day. According to Ms. Thuong, the amount of oranges sold is more than before. In addition, she also packs and ships them to customers in Thanh Hoa, Hanoi, and Quang Tri.

Ms. Thuong shared: “Before the label was applied, the price of oranges was from 40,000 - 45,000 VND/kg, but when the label was applied to trace the origin, creating trust for consumers, the current price of oranges ranges from 55,000 - 60,000 VND/kg but is still very popular.

Mr. Phan Quoc Bao - owner of a Vinh orange shop in Hoa Hieu ward, Thai Hoa town said: Customers who buy Vinh oranges with origin traceability stamps are mainly people with good economic conditions, while ordinary customers mainly buy oranges priced at 30,000 - 40,000 VND or less. Therefore, his shop only sells nearly 100 kg of Vinh oranges with stamps every day. However, compared to previous years, it sells more now.

Not only buying for personal use, many Vinh City residents choose Vinh oranges as gifts on this occasion. Ms. Vo Thi Huyen, Le Loi Ward shared: Since having Vinh oranges with clear origin, my family often chooses to buy the product. Every time I buy, I still use my phone to check the stamp for peace of mind.

However, in reality, Vinh oranges with traceability labels are only sold at fixed stores, while markets almost do not have oranges with labels.

At the West Pavilion of Vinh Market, where many fruit stalls are located, there are many vendors selling oranges of all kinds and prices. The common feature of these oranges is that they do not have labels, and are cheaper than Vinh oranges with labels, only ranging from 20,000 - 30,000 VND/kg.

Ms. Phan Thi Loi, a customer in Hong Son Ward - Vinh City shared: "When we go to the market and see beautiful fruit, we buy it without paying much attention to the label because we are not proficient in technology. Moreover, people with low incomes do not dare to spend 60,000 VND to buy oranges with labels to eat."

That is also the opinion of many people in the city. They think that the current stamping on the market only serves a certain number of customers, not the general public because consumers still prefer cheap oranges, which are sold everywhere in the market. Besides, the network of orange shops with origin stamps is still small, so it is difficult for consumers to access.

It is known that in the province, there are only 3 stores selling Vinh oranges with traceability stamps. Of which, 1 store is on Quang Trung Street - Vinh City, the remaining 2 stores are in Thai Hoa Town and Quy Hop District.

Mr. Duong Dinh Tan - Head of Tan Thanh Agricultural Production and Service Cooperative said: His oranges were given a traceability stamp for Vinh oranges a week ago. The cooperative's orange products are mainly exported to Hanoi, Thanh Hoa... In the province, the cooperative only has one store in Vinh City, so the amount of oranges sold daily is not really much./.
