Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong congratulated outstanding teachers

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 17, on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20), comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited, presented gifts and congratulated a number of outstanding teachers in the province.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong and the delegation visited and expressed gratitude to teacher Tran Van Dieu (Hung Nguyen), 94 years old. He was a pre-uprising revolutionary cadre and former Principal of Le Hong Phong High School, Hung Nguyen District.

Mr. Tran Van Dieu and the school staff have made many contributions to building the school into one of the top high schools in Hung Nguyen district and the province in terms of educational quality.

Next, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee came to present flowers and congratulate teacher Hoang Tu Hau (75 years old), former teacher of Huynh Thuc Khang High School, Vinh City. He is a key teacher of Chemistry at the school and the province.

During nearly 40 years of teaching, Mr. Hoang Tu Hau has made many contributions to the education sector, especially in training excellent students at the provincial and national levels. Many generations of his students have become leaders at all levels, scientific researchers, excellent teachers, and successful businesses.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for the contributions of retired teachers in the province to the cause of education and training.

He hopes that with their enthusiasm and experience, teachers will continue to contribute ideas to further develop the education career of Nghe An.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also came to congratulate and present flowers to Professor, Doctor, Meritorious Teacher Dinh Xuan Khoa - Rector of Vinh University and Associate Professor, Doctor Thai Van Thanh - Vice Rector of Vinh University.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong shared joy with teacher Dinh Xuan Khoa when he was honored to receive the title of People's Teacher and teacher Thai Van Thanh was honored as the National Outstanding Teacher 2017 on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day this year.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province hopes that teachers as well as the Board of Directors of Vinh University, together with the staff and teachers of the school, will continue to take the lead and comprehensively innovate, building Vinh University into a key national university, meeting the requirements of educational innovation and socio-economic development of Nghe An province, the North Central region and the whole country./.
