Village elders and village chiefs in Nghe An go to Lao Cai to learn about community tourism experience

(Baonghean.vn) - The Department of Tourism is organizing a survey and study of community tourism models in Lao Cai province. The delegation includes many village elders and village chiefs from Con Cuong, Quy Chau, and Que Phong districts.

The program took place from November 14 to 18. The delegation included representatives of the Department of Tourism, Tan Ky District People's Committee, Quy Chau District People's Committee, officials from the Department of Culture and Information of Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Que Phong districts and representatives of village elders and village chiefs.

Organizing a survey program and learning about community tourism models in Lao Cai is a condition for the western districts of Nghe An province to have the opportunity to learn how to do community tourism in Lao Cai villages such as: Cat Cat village community tourism invested and operated by enterprises in San Sa Ho commune, community tourism model in Ta Van Giay village, Ta Van commune, Viet Tu flower valley community tourism, Hoang A Tuong's house (King Meo) in Bac Ha...

The delegation also visited and experienced at households doing community tourism in Tay and Mong villages in Ta Chai, Na Hoi, Ban Pho, Ta Van Chu communes...; visited the tourist support model at Lao Cai Province Tourism Promotion Information Center, the stone church, experienced the cable car to visit Fansipan peak in Hoang Lien mountain range...

This is also an opportunity for Nghe An districts to meet, exchange information, and cooperate with Sapa and Bac Ha districts, Lao Cai province to share experiences in state management of building local tourism models as well as regulations, organization methods, and community operation rules according to ASEAN standards.
