Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation gives gifts to poor students in Que Phong

(Baonghean.vn) - 50 scholarships and 200 warm blankets were presented by the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation and the Nghe An National Assembly Delegation to poor students in Que Phong district.

On the afternoon of November 19, Comrade To Thi Bich Chau - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation coordinated with the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province to visit and present gifts to a number of schools in Que Phong district, Nghe An province.

On Nghe An side, there were comrade Tran Van Mao - Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mong Van Tinh - National Assembly delegate, officials of Que Phong District Youth Union and comrades from the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Office.

Visiting Que Phong Ethnic Minority Secondary School (Tien Phong Commune, Que Phong District), the delegation congratulated the teachers on "Vietnam Teachers' Day".

Here, the delegation awarded 20 scholarships worth 20 million VND and 100 blankets to poor students, helping and encouraging them to continue promoting the tradition of studiousness, overcoming difficulties to study and practice well.

Next, the delegation visited and supported 100 million VND to Nam Nhoong Primary and Secondary School.

Nam Nhoong Primary and Secondary School is located in Nam Nhoong commune - one of the particularly disadvantaged schools in Nghe An province with 100% of students being children of Thai, Mong, Kho Mu ethnic groups... the school's physical facilities are extremely poor, the roads are difficult to travel, and there are frequent landslides and erosion.

In order to help teachers and students of Nam Nhoong Primary and Secondary School have better teaching and learning conditions; to use their knowledge to serve the construction of their homeland, the delegation supported 10 million VND for the "Youth Project" model of the school's Youth Union.

On this occasion, the delegation awarded 30 scholarships worth 30 million VND along with 100 blankets and many clothes, sandals, medicine, and pens to poor students who have overcome difficulties at the school.

Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation coordinated with the Nghe An Provincial National Assembly Delegation to visit and support 50 million VND to build a house for the family of Mr. Hoang Vu Hai, a seriously wounded soldier in Block 4, Kim Son Town, Que Phong District.
