For nearly a month now, many local people have come to the house of Ms. Luong Thi Thi, in Hoi II village, Chau Hoi commune (Quy Chau district) to witness with their own eyes a mother buffalo giving birth to two male calves at the same time.

Ms. Thi said that the mother buffalo has been raised by her family for nine years and has given birth to four litters, but this is the first time the family has witnessed her giving birth to two male calves at the same time. They are now one month old, but both calves are healthy and moving normally. Because the weather has been cold these past few days, the family lights a fire every night to warm the buffalo herd and they also use old sweaters to put on the two calves to keep them warm.
