(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 21, delegates of the Provincial People's Council had a meeting in Thai Hoa town and Nghi Loc district.

* In Thai Hoa town, Mr. and Mrs. Tran Van Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Vo Duy Viet - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Phan Thi Thanh Thuy - President of the Women's Union of Thai Hoa town had a meeting with voters of Nghia Hoa commune, Thai Hoa town.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Council delegates quickly informed the voters of Nghia Hoa commune about the expected 5th session of the Provincial People's Council (term XVII); Results of the implementation of the socio-economic development tasks; National Defense and Security in the first 10 months of 2017 of the province.

Voters of Nghia Hoa commune proposed a number of issues: More attention should be paid to the regimes and policies for relatives of families with meritorious services; Illegal sand and gravel mining is still common; The issuance and exchange of land use right certificates is still slow; There are still many unemployed students after graduation; There should be more preferential policies to support farmers...

Receiving voters' opinions, the representative of the Provincial People's Council explained a number of recommendations within their authority, other recommendations will be compiled and submitted to the upcoming session.

Regarding sand and gravel mining, Mr. Vo Duy Viet - Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment promised voters that he would send department officials to directly inspect the matter in the afternoon of the same day.

The provincial People's Council delegates also had a meeting with over 100 voters representing schools and the Fatherland Front in Thai Hoa town on issues such as: Draft resolution on school milk; Medical examination and treatment costs outside of health insurance; Regulations on payment levels for social supervision and criticism activities of the Fatherland Front and organizations.

At the meeting, the representative of the delegation of the Provincial People's Council reported on the activities of the delegation, the results of handling voters' petitions before the 5th session and announced the content of the 5th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council, approving the draft Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on 2 thematic contents including: Policy to support investment in agricultural and rural development and the topic of cost levels to ensure social supervision and criticism activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations.

Voters of 6 communes in the western part of Nghi Loc district proposed a number of issues such as: The policy of supporting cement for new rural construction should be increased for communes with large and difficult areas, not just focusing on communes that have registered to reach the finish line as it is now;

Support for rice land according to Decree 35 of the Government needs to be sooner, helping people to be proactive in production, support for high-quality pure rice varieties needs to be specific about which rice varieties, and need to continue to maintain the policy of supporting plastic covering peanuts.

In addition, voters also recommended that the province should create more favorable conditions for cooperatives to operate. Irrigation companies need to improve operational efficiency and the quality of irrigation services for agricultural production, because currently some canals are not maintained, and although dams have water, they cannot irrigate large areas, causing difficulties for agricultural production.

On behalf of the Provincial People's Council delegates, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung - Vice President of Nghe An Cooperative Union answered voters' recommendations within her authority and summarized the recommendations to submit to the relevant levels and the next session of the Provincial People's Council.
