Mr. Xuan Anh was absent from the People's Council meeting to dismiss himself.

The extraordinary meeting of the Da Nang People's Council this morning with the content of dismissing the Chairman of the People's Council had 48/49 delegates attending. Chairman of the People's Council Nguyen Xuan Anh was absent.

Mr. Doan Xuan Hieu, Chief of Office of the Da Nang People's Council, said that Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh had submitted a request for absence.

Replacing Mr. Xuan Anh to chair the meeting was Mr. Nguyen Nho Trung, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council.

Mr. Hieu said the meeting agenda will approve the proposal to dismiss Chairman of the Da Nang People's Council Nguyen Xuan Anh.

Reporters will only be allowed to attend the opening and closing sessions, the discussion will be closed.

Speaking to VietNamNet earlier, Mr. Trung said that this was an extraordinary meeting to discuss personnel issues. In particular, the issue of dismissing Mr. Xuan Anh from his position was also discussed by the Standing Committee to present to the council.

This is the second time Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh has been absent from an activity of the Da Nang City People's Council.

Previously, in the program of the People's Council with voters on November 14, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh was also absent. The reason was that he had family matters and had submitted a request for temporary leave. Mr. Nguyen Nho Trung also chaired this program.

After being removed from the position of Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh still holds the last position as Chairman of the City People's Council.

An extraordinary meeting is expected to take place this morning, focusing on the dismissal process for Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh.
