One of Fidel Castro's closest associates dies in Cuba
One of Fidel Castro's closest associates, Armando Hart Dvalos, died on Sunday in Cuba of respiratory failure, Granma newspaper reported.

He was one of the founders of the "July 26th Movement", and was imprisoned several times for his revolutionary activities.
After the January Revolution in 1959, Mr. Hart held many high positions in the Cuban government. He served as Minister of Education, playing an important role in eliminating illiteracy in Cuba. In 1976, Mr. Hart was appointed Minister of Culture, a position he held for more than 20 years./.
