(Baonghean.vn) - For businesses that intentionally delay paying tax debts of more than 90 days, enforcement measures will be taken.

Recently, Quy Hop Tax Department coordinated with relevant agencies to enforce the payment of 2 enterprises that intentionally delayed and owed taxes. That is Binh Huong private enterprise in Thung Khuoc Industrial Park, Quy Hop town, with tax, fines and late payment fees of nearly 400 million VND.

The delegation drew up a record; temporarily suspended the production power supply to carry out procedures to enforce the seizure of money, invoices, goods, and assets of the enterprise; and recommended that superiors revoke the license to grant mines, production workshops, and mine lease contracts.

The interdisciplinary team also inspected and enforced tax collection at Vietnam Mineral Exploitation and Export Joint Stock Company, which is currently mining white stone in Thung Xan, Chau Loc Commune (Quy Hop). At the time of inspection, the enterprise had not fully implemented one of the contents of the approved environmental impact assessment report. Mining activities were not in accordance with the mine design process, and labor safety was not guaranteed.

As of November 23, 2017, the company still owed nearly 1.4 billion VND in mineral exploitation rights and late payment fees. The delegation drew up a record, requiring the company to temporarily stop mining production, remove mining machinery and equipment from the mine area; and requesting the company's leaders to directly work with the delegation according to the invitation.

According to statistics from the Quy Hop Tax Department, by the end of November 2017, the entire district had 130 units owing nearly 30 billion VND in taxes. This tax debt is mainly from mineral exploitation and processing enterprises; of which nearly 17 billion VND is uncollectible debt.

In December 2017, the tax authority will coordinate with the district State Treasury to enforce bank accounts of tax-indebted enterprises according to prescribed procedures. Along with promoting propaganda, the unit also assigns tax debt collection targets to each collective and individual.

For businesses that deliberately delay paying tax debts of more than 90 days, the district's branch and interdisciplinary team will resolutely implement enforcement measures.
