600 kg of quail meat was found to be smelly.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 30, the Traffic Police Team of Dien Chau Police discovered and arrested a case of transporting 600 kg of slaughtered quail, of unknown origin, without quarantine papers, and smelling.

At 6:30 a.m. in Dien Hong commune, Dien Chau district, the Traffic Police Team of Dien Chau Public Security inspected a passenger car with license plate 49B-00868 driven by Mr. Nguyen Van Thuy (residing in Gia Vien district, Ninh Binh province).

The task force discovered that the vehicle was carrying 10 Styrofoam boxes containing 600 kg of slaughtered quail. The quails gave off a foul odor and had no documents proving their origin or food hygiene and safety quarantine documents.

The driver confessed to transporting the quails for hire from Da Nang to Hanoi for consumption.

After checking and making a record, all the quails were handed over to the Dien Chau District Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Station for destruction according to the law.
