A North Korean citizen believed to be Kim Jong Nam, the older brother of the North Korean leader, had dozens of bottles of antidote in his backpack.

According to The Star, the above information was given at the trial of two female suspects Doan Thi Huong (29 years old) and Siti Aisyah (25 years old) on November 29.

Presenting before the Shah Alam High Court (Selangor state, Malaysia), Dr. K. Sharmilah, Head of the Alcohol and Clinical Toxicology Division of the Malaysian Chemicals Department, said that the 12 bottles contained Atropine, a drug used to counteract the effects of certain nerve agents, including VX.

"I received the items (antidotes) along with seven other items from the police at 4.06pm on March 10 for toxicology testing," Ms Sharmilah told Deputy Public Prosecutor Mohd Fairuz Johari.

She denied that the labels on the bottles were written in Korean, as Gooi Soon Seng, Siti Aisyah’s lawyer, had alleged. However, Dr Sharmilah agreed with Gooi that the pesticide could also cause death and that the symptoms were similar to VX.

Other witnesses also testified at the trial of the two female suspects.

Police officer Nasrol Sain Hamzah (38 years old), working at the Criminal Investigation Department, Sepang Police Station, said he seized the shirt with the letters "LOL" that Doan Thi Huong wore on the day the North Korean victim was murdered.

During the raid on February 15, police officer Nasrol and his team were led by the suspect to the room she had rented at the Sky Star Hotel in Sepang. "The room was very messy. The bed was not made and clothes were piled on the floor," he said.

The witness said the shirt and a colorful skirt were found in an unlocked Hello Kitty bag. The bag was thrown on the floor, under the corner of the bed. "I didn't touch the clothes because I was afraid of chemicals on the shirt and skirt," he added.

The trial continues today (November 30).
