Training on protection of intellectual property rights of local specialties

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 30, in Quy Hop district, the Department of Science and Technology organized a training course on intellectual property protection for local specialties.

The training was attended by 100 trainees from 5 districts including Quy Hop, Nghia Dan, Que Phong, Quy Chau, Tan Ky and Thai Hoa town.

During the 2 days, the trainees, who are managers, representatives of enterprises, production and business households, listened to the staff of the Department of Science and Technology present issues related to intellectual property such as the Law on Intellectual Property on industrial property; Protection of intellectual property rights for local specialties in the form of geographical indications, certification marks, collective marks; How to manage collective marks, certification marks, geographical indications, etc.

In addition, students were also instructed on the procedures for registering intellectual property protection for trademarks, collective trademarks, certification trademarks, geographical indications, etc.; and learned about the regulations for managing and using the geographical indication "Vinh" for orange products of Nghe An province.
