Russia is about to launch a fifth generation super fighter

According to the Federation Council, the fifth-generation fighter Su-57 will be accepted into service by the Russian army in 2018.

Expert of the Arsenal of the Fatherland magazine Dmitry Drozdenko on Sputnik shared some unique parameters of the Su-57.

"The Su-57 PAK FA project is being prepared for commissioning, which is a good sign for our Air Force. For the first time they will receive fifth-generation aircraft, and Russia will be the second country in the world to be equipped with such aircraft with special radar stealth capabilities, the ability to take off at supersonic speeds from the deck and a modern integrated weapons system," Dmitry Drozdenko said.

The expert also emphasized that the Su-57 has unique features in the world, even compared to the fifth-generation American fighter jet. It is truly a super-maneuverable machine and the electronic equipment is a "smart" shell that integrates a large number of sensors that allow the control system and the pilot to observe the image around the aircraft. Such capabilities do not exist in the fifth-generation American aircraft.
