Cua Dong General Hospital received Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister

(Baonghea.vn) – On the afternoon of December 2, Cua Dong General Hospital held a ceremony to celebrate its 15th anniversary and receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister.

Attending the ceremony were People's Physician, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Tien - Minister of Health; leaders of Departments and Divisions of the Ministry of Health; leaders of Bach Mai Hospital (Hanoi).

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and representatives of Departments, Boards and branches in the province.

Established in 2002, with a total investment of 60 billion VND, the hospital has 33 beds; each day it receives and treats about 300 - 400 patients.

After 15 years of construction and development, Cua Dong General Hospital now has an infrastructure of nearly 30,000 m2 of construction floor; total investment of over 800 billion VND. The hospital has a scale of 350 beds, the planned number of beds is 250 beds, with nearly 400 officers and employees.

The hospital has 19 departments and functional rooms. The hospital is invested synchronously, continuously, and closed according to the standards of a hotel attached to a hospital, meeting the increasing demand for medical examination and treatment of the people. The number of patients coming for examination and treatment is about 700 - 800 people per day. The hospital continues to invest in modern machinery such as a 128-slice CT scanner, an extracorporeal lithotripsy machine, an international standard testing system...

Every month, the hospital receives 250 - 300 surgeries, and at the same time deploys many modern techniques such as: Surgery for herniated disc, spinal column, epidural hematoma... Thereby improving treatment efficiency, reducing the rate of patients having to be transferred to other hospitals, and saving treatment costs.

Cua Dong General Hospital is increasingly affirming its prestigious and quality brand; a trusted medical address for the people of Nghe An and neighboring provinces, as well as Laos.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Le Xuan Dai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged, praised and congratulated the achievements of Cua Dong General Hospital in the past time, and highly appreciated the hospital's correct development strategy; contributing to the development of the province's health sector.

He hoped that the hospital would continue to promote its achievements, seize opportunities and favorable conditions, and become a satellite unit of Bach Mai Hospital; continue to develop its scale and improve the quality of medical examination and treatment. The hospital would continue to pay attention to management, invest in advanced and modern medical equipment, develop a systematic and in-depth human resource, and care for the medical staff; improve service attitude and fulfill social responsibilities.

With its achievements, Cua Dong General Hospital was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister and a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Health.

On this occasion, Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien presented the decision to recognize Cua Dong General Hospital as a satellite unit of Bach Mai Hospital.

The Minister congratulated the hospital on its achievements in recent times; especially the event of Bach Mai Hospital officially becoming the first private hospital in Nghe An.

At the same time, it is hoped that in the coming time, the hospital will receive technical transfer from Bach Mai Hospital, on the basis of promoting the effectiveness of infrastructure, medical equipment and resources; Cua Dong General Hospital will further improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, providing modern medical services to meet the needs of patients in Nghe An.
