Since the first day of the U23 Vietnam training camp, Coach Park Hang Seo has not had a single training session with full strength due to injuries. In addition, the problem of improving the players' physical strength is also a difficult problem for the Korean coach.

In yesterday morning's training session (December 4), Coach Park Hang Seo gave the players a fairly heavy physical training program, especially those who had to sit out the first training sessions due to injuries. It can be seen that the players' physical strength is still a problem that makes Coach Park have a headache. Only a few players completed all the exercises. Even players with a reputation for being strong like Duc Chinh or Van Hau had to work very hard to complete the requirements.

In the afternoon of the same day, Coach Park Hang Seo promoted exercises to improve professional skills. The Korean strategist gave instructions focusing on passing skills as well as short coordination.

The U23 Vietnam team was divided into many small groups, performing short passes and moving continuously. The players seemed to enjoy this exercise, as the training atmosphere was very exciting and focused.

Most likely in the upcoming friendly tournament in Thailand, Coach Park Hang Seo will let U23 Vietnam play with a ball control strategy based on short, low passing combinations. This is considered reasonable because Coach Park Hang Seo owns 8 HAGL players and 7 Hanoi players, the teams with the most technical and beautiful playing styles in Vietnamese football at the present time.

Regarding personnel, injuries are a difficult problem for the Korean coach. Since the first day of training, there has not been a single training session with full strength of U23 Vietnam. Many players are facing injury problems with different levels. Except for Huu Dung who was able to practice again in the training session yesterday afternoon, Dong Trieu, Tien Dung, Tuan Anh, Duc Chinh still have to practice separately with the doctors.

Coach Park Hang Seo had to say goodbye to striker Tien Linh for this reason. Tien Linh is one of the new recruits in the Vietnam U23 team. The striker from B.Binh Duong Club unexpectedly caught the attention of coach Park Hang Seo when he had impressive performances at the 2017 National U21 Finals.

However, after a collision with a teammate, Tien Linh sprained his ankle. After conducting a medical examination, Coach Park Hang Seo and the coaching staff decided to say goodbye to Tien Linh.

It is expected that the U23 Vietnam team will continue to practice this afternoon, December 5. According to the plan, on December 7, the whole team will move to Thailand to prepare for the first match of the M150 tournament taking place on December 9. The M-150 Cup brings together 6 teams including host U23 Thailand, U23 Vietnam, U23 Myanmar, U23 Japan, U23 Uzbekistan and U23 DPRK. U23 Vietnam is in Group B with Myanmar and Uzbekistan.
