Nghi Khanh (Nghi Loc) mobilized more than 268 billion VND to build new rural areas

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 6, the working group of the Provincial New Rural Area Appraisal Council led by Mr. Nguyen Van Hang - Deputy Head of the Provincial New Rural Area Coordination Office conducted an appraisal of the contents and criteria for building new rural areas in Nghi Khanh commune, Nghi Loc district.

In recent times, the Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of Nghi Khanh commune have regularly paid attention to leading, directing, propagating and mobilizing all classes of people to join hands in implementing the new rural criteria. As of December 2016, Nghi Khanh commune has only achieved 16/19 criteria.

In 2017, Nghi Khanh has maximized its internal resources and sought support from superiors to focus on building the remaining 3 criteria. At the same time, the locality has consolidated and improved the quality of previously achieved criteria. Up to this point, Nghi Khanh commune has achieved 19/19 criteria for building new rural areas.

Over the past 7 years, Nghi Khanh has mobilized 268.84 billion VND to build new rural areas. Of which, 178.8 billion VND (accounting for 66.5%) was mobilized from the people. Currently, the average income per capita of the locality has reached 34.42 million VND/person/year; the poverty rate is 2%.

Through examining the documents and the actual situation, the members of the Provincial New Rural Area Appraisal Council highly appreciated the efforts of the Party Committee, the government, and the Fatherland Front of Nghi Khanh commune in investing in building the New Rural Area and agreed to approve 19/19 criteria. However, the Provincial New Rural Area Appraisal Council requested the locality to complete the documents in the fields of justice, military, and environment. In the field of education, Nghi Khanh needs to supplement the documents and commit to completing the facilities at two kindergartens and secondary schools in January 2018.
