On the afternoon of December 8, the Investigation Police Agency of Nghi Loc District Police announced that the unit had issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and detain Nguyen Thi Thao (born in 1978), residing in Hung Dung Ward, Vinh City, for 60 days to investigate the act of fraud and appropriation of property.

Previously, at the end of November 2017, the Nghi Loc District Police Investigation Agency received a complaint from many people in Nghi Thach Commune, alleging that Nguyen Thi Thao in Hung Dung Ward, Vinh City, had scammed her family members into getting jobs at Cua Dong General Hospital.

After collecting evidence, on December 4, the Nghi Loc District Police Investigation Agency issued an arrest warrant for Nguyen Thi Thao.

At the investigation agency, Thao confessed: Since May 2017, Thao saw that Cua Dong General Hospital in Vinh city was expanding its campus. He thought that this hospital would recruit more service staff, so he spread the news that he would apply for jobs for those who needed jobs to work here.

From May to July 2017, Nguyen Thi Thao received money and documents (including photocopies of ID cards and household registration books) from 8 people who wanted to work at Cua Dong General Hospital.

Among them, 4 people from Nghi Thach commune, Nghi Loc district and 4 people from Nghi Duc commune, Vinh city, were promised by Thao to work at the hospital with jobs such as: nurses, cleaning staff, parking attendants, and pharmacy staff.

Nguyen Thi Thao defrauded and took 41.2 million VND from these 8 people for personal use. Thao kept their files and did not submit them to Cua Dong General Hospital. After waiting for a long time without receiving a response and knowing that they had been defrauded, many people filed complaints against Thao and sent them to the investigation agency.

The case is still being investigated by the authorities. Nghi Loc District Police request that anyone who has been scammed by Nguyen Thi Thao as above, please come to the investigation agency to report.
