Received and distributed more than 1,000 tons of rice to forest protection households in Tuong Duong

(Baonghean.vn) - On December 11, Tuong Duong district received and distributed more than 1,000 tons of rice in the second phase to ethnic minorities and poor households who voluntarily planted, cared for, and protected forests.

Accordingly, the district has just received and distributed 1,133,823 tons of rice from the State to support ethnic minorities and poor households who voluntarily accept to plant, care for, and protect forests according to the Prime Minister's policy during the time when they are not self-sufficient in food, the second phase of 2017.

The rice was distributed to 21,399 people in 17/18 communes and towns in the district. To help people save money and travel time, the district mobilized small trucks to transport rice to the commune centers.

The allocation is ensured to be correct, sufficient and fair with the aim of helping people reduce poverty and gradually improve their lives. From there, mobilize people to protect the ecological environment and upstream protection forests.
