US President Donald Trump usually sleeps only 5 hours a night, wake up at 5:30 and spend much of the day watching the news on cable television installed in the White House,NYTimesDecember 9, citing sources close to Mr. Trump.
Mr. Trump usually starts each day by watching the news on CNN, although he often criticizes the network for reporting "fake news." The White House boss then switches to watching "Fox and Friends" on Fox to relax and sometimes watches the show "Morning Joe" on MSNBC to "get motivated to work."
Mr. Trump has a 60-inch TV in his dining room.to follow the news. He spends 4-8 hours a day watching TV, even continuing to watch the news on silent mode during meetings. Before going to bed, he watches CNN again and often posts attacks on the channel on Twitter.
No one but Mr. Trump and his technical staff is allowed to touch the television remote in the White House. At times, according to aides, Mr. Trump leaves his bedroom or the small room next door after a morning of watching television and walks into the Treaty Room to make his first call of the day, still wearing his pajamas.
In November, the White House chief denied that he watches much TV, saying his busy schedule prevents him from having the habit. "I don't watch much TV, largely because I read a lot of material. I read more of your news than I watch TV," he said.
