The 11th Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union has 151 members.

From 174 nominees, delegates voted to elect 151 personnel to the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, including many faces from the 10th term.

In the fifth session on the afternoon of December 12, the 11th National Youth Union Congress for the 2017-2022 term announced the results of the election of the Executive Committee.

151 elected personnel, including familiar faces from the 10th term such as: First Secretary of the Central Youth Union Le Quoc Phong (97.9%), three Secretaries of the Central Youth Union Nguyen Ngoc Luong (97.8%), Nguyen Anh Tuan (96.29%) and Bui Quang Huy (94.79%), Head of the Central Youth Union School Youth Committee Nguyen Minh Triet (88.78%)...

Three Secretaries of the 10th Central Youth Union were not on the list of candidates for the 11th term: Nguyen Manh Dung, Nguyen Phi Long, Nguyen Long Hai. Of which, Standing Secretary of the Central Youth Union Nguyen Manh Dung was transferred to be Deputy Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee.

Earlier on the morning of December 12, in the presentation of the proposal for the 11th Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Mr. Bui Quang Huy, Secretary of the 10th Central Executive Committee, emphasized that the new Executive Committee must be a team that is exemplary in terms of initiative, discipline, and solidarity. Those selected must not show signs of opportunism, ambition for power, group interests, and other negative signs.

Regarding the personnel list, the Central Youth Union has 37-38 delegates; the provincial and municipal Youth Union Secretaries have 67 delegates, two deputy secretaries in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City; the armed forces have 15 delegates; the rest are core cadres in associations, teams, central agencies, and enterprises.

The 11th National Congress of the Youth Union will take place from December 10 to 13 in Hanoi. During six working sessions, 1,000 delegates will evaluate the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement in the past term, determine goals, tasks and solutions for the 2017-2022 term; amend and supplement the Youth Union Charter; and elect the 11th Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union.
