Identities of 6 Vietnamese people killed in fire in Taiwan revealed.

(Baonghean.vn) - According to information from the Nghe An Hometown Association in Taiwan, at 2:00 AM on December 14th, a fire broke out in Taoyuan City (Taichung, Taiwan), resulting in the deaths of 6 Vietnamese people, including 2 workers from Ha Tinh province.

According to reports, the fire broke out at night in the housing and warehouse area of ​​a factory producing insulation materials in Lu Zhu Nan, Taoyuan. It took four hours after the fire was discovered to be extinguished. The fire almost completely destroyed the dormitory – home to many Vietnamese workers.

Authorities are extinguishing the fire at the scene.

While the fire was raging, five Vietnamese workers jumped out of the second-floor window to escape, while six other Vietnamese workers who were sleeping in the room were burned to death. It wasn't until noon that day that rescue forces were able to retrieve the bodies of the victims from the scene.

Currently, five workers who jumped out of windows during the fire, all injured, have been discharged from the hospital. The bodies of the six deceased workers have been taken to the Taoyuan funeral home to await DNA testing by their families to determine their identities.

It is understood that immediately after the fire, the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taiwan sent officials to the scene to gather information and implement measures to protect Vietnamese citizens.

1. Phung Trong Tuan (31 years old), residing in Ky Lac commune, Ky Anh district, Ha Tinh province.

2. Tran Hong Thuy (24 years old) from Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province.

3. Hoang Dinh Du (25 years old) from Cam Phuc commune, Cam Giang district, Hai Duong province.

4. Nguyen Trong Nghia (21 years old) from Hoan Lao town, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province.

5. Nguyen Van Trai (30 years old) from Huong Lung commune, Cam Khe district, Phu Tho province.

6. Bui Anh Chung (22 years old) from Bao Son commune, Luc Nam district, Bac Giang province.
