Nghe An: Fines of more than 74 billion VND for traffic safety violations

(Baonghean.vn) - In November 2017, the provincial police and traffic inspection force discovered and recorded hundreds of thousands of violations of traffic safety laws, transferring more than 74 billion VND to the state budget.

Accordingly, in recent times, the Provincial Police have increased the direction of functional forces to launch peak patrols to control and strictly handle violations of traffic safety laws by topic such as: speeding violations, alcohol concentration violations, people riding motorbikes and motorbikes without helmets, students using electric bicycles violating traffic safety, etc.

As a result, 25,562 traffic control patrols were organized, with 90,940 officers and soldiers participating; 90,324 administrative violations were detected and recorded, of which more than 87,000 violators complied with the penalty decision, transferring nearly 68 billion VND to the State budget.

Notably, motorcyclists committed the most violations, with more than 55,520 cases.

Along with that, the Traffic and Transport Inspectorate has organized inspections and checks on compliance with regulations and conditions for passenger transport business by car and transport support services, focusing on strictly handling violations such as: stopping, parking, picking up and dropping off passengers in violation of regulations; driving on the wrong route and schedule; not having a transport badge; not strictly implementing registration and listing on vehicles; phenomena of "illegal vehicles", "disguised contract vehicles", "illegal stations"; sleeper buses running on grade 5 and 6 mountainous roads...

At the same time, organize mobile load control campaigns in the province to handle and prevent oversized and overloaded vehicles on traffic routes; closely coordinate with local authorities to inspect and handle violations of traffic safety corridors, encroachment on roads and sidewalks.
