The movement “I love my Fatherland” – Giving the National Flag to fishermen at sea was started by the Youth Union of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command in mid-2016. Up to now, the Youth Union of the Provincial Military Command has coordinated with solidarity organizations to give thousands of flags and hundreds of gifts to fishermen in coastal districts and towns in the province (Quynh Luu, Dien Chau, Nghi Loc, Cua Lo, Hoang Mai). The movement has developed and spread more and more widely, and has been trusted and recognized by Military Region 4 and leaders of local Party committees, authorities and fishermen…

Through the activity of presenting the National Flag and gifts to fishermen in difficult circumstances, it has contributed to promoting the task of protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands; promptly encouraging fishermen both materially and spiritually, continuing to go out to sea, both producing and doing business and contributing to protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland of Vietnam, and at the same time contributing to strengthening the solidarity and close relationship between the army and the people.
