Mr. Cao Van Chong says goodbye to VPF

On the morning of December 18, Mr. Cao Van Chong - General Director of Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) for the second term of 2014-2017 said goodbye to VPF in the company's meeting.

Previously, on December 3, the VPF General Meeting of Shareholders for the third term of 2017-2020 took place and elected Mr. Tran Anh Tu (Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thai Son Nam Company) as Chairman of the Board of Directors of VPF and 7 other members to join the Board of Directors. In the VPF Board of Directors meeting a few days ago, Mr. Tu was also elected to the additional position of General Director of the company.

Mr. Cao Van Chong - General Director of the second term was highly appreciated by the Board of Directors for his contributions in the 3 years of managing VPF. The Board of Directors invited Mr. Chong to continue to stay and participate in the VPF General Directorate for the period 2017-2020. However, as reported by Tuoi Tre, before the VPF General Meeting of Shareholders took place, Mr. Chong expressed his intention to leave VPF.

In the meeting on the morning of December 18, Mr. Chong officially said goodbye to VPF to return to Becamex Binh Duong Company - Mr. Chong's parent company, which created conditions for him to go to Hanoi to work as VPF General Director on secondment for more than 2 years.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre, Mr. Chong said that he is a Becamex employee and must follow the company's instructions. "The VPF Board of Directors invited me to take a position in the company's Board of Directors, but I could not accept. Currently, the time I was sent on a secondment by Becamex has ended, so I am returning to work at Becamex. I do not know yet whether Becamex will assign me to work in football or another position," Mr. Chong said.

After Mr. Chong said goodbye to VPF, this enterprise now has only one general director and chairman of the board of directors, Mr. Tran Anh Tu. One deputy general director is Mr. Nguyen Minh Ngoc. Mr. Ngoc is a person transferred from the Vietnam Football Federation and in recent years has held the position of head of the organizing committee of Vietnam's professional football tournaments.
