Nghe An destroyed nearly 300 guns

(Baonghean.vn)- In 4 years, Nghe An people handed over more than 300 guns of all kinds.

On the morning of December 20, the Border Guard Command of Nghe An province organized the destruction of weapons, explosives, and support tools temporarily held at units.

The destruction was carried out in accordance with Decision No. 210/QD-BCH dated December 4, 2017 of the Commander of the Border Guard of Nghe An province on "Disposal of weapons, explosives, and support tools" collected from 2014 to present.

Over the past 4 years, through propaganda work, mobilizing people in the border area to hand over homemade weapons and explosives, and through investigation, detection, handling, and temporary seizure, Nghe An Border Guard has collected 262 homemade flintlock guns; 22 military guns of various types; 1 air gun; 3.24 kg of explosives, 3 packs of gunpowder, 750 fuses; 1 meter of slow-burning wire, 8 mine detonators; 7 Samlet bullets; 27 kg of firecrackers and many other homemade gun parts and rudimentary support tools.

All of the above weapons and support tools, after being inspected and classified, were destroyed according to strict procedures and processes, under the close supervision of the Destruction Council, ensuring absolute safety.
