The National Assembly issued a Resolution adjusting the implementation roadmap of the program and textbooks.

The National Assembly has just issued Resolution No. 51/2017/QH14 adjusting the roadmap for implementing new general education programs and textbooks according to Resolution No. 88/2014/QH13 dated November 28, 2014 of the National Assembly on innovation of general education programs and textbooks.

According to this Resolution, the time to start implementing the new general education program and textbooks, ensuring sequential implementation at each level, is no later than the 2020-2021 school year for the first grade of primary school, from the 2021-2022 school year for the first grade of junior high school and from the 2022-2023 school year for the first grade of high school.

The Government directs the development of new general education programs and textbooks, ensuring that funding does not increase; at the same time, it allocates sufficient resources and synchronously prepares conditions for teachers, education management staff, and facilities to implement the new general education programs and textbooks.

After preparing all conditions, the Government shall report to the National Assembly the time to apply the new general education program and textbooks according to the prescribed roadmap.

The National Assembly Standing Committee, the National Assembly's Committee on Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children, the Ethnic Council, other National Assembly Committees, National Assembly delegations, National Assembly deputies, People's Councils and People's Council deputies at all levels, within the scope of their tasks and powers, shall supervise the implementation of this Resolution.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations conduct social supervision and criticism of the implementation of new general education programs and textbooks.
