During the 2016-2017 school year, Vinh University students have carried out many high-quality scientific research projects and graduation projects. Specifically, the whole school has 43 scientific research projects implemented by students at the school level. In 2016, 3 projects were awarded at the Ministry level, such as: building an integrated experimental set for teaching wave optics; the current status of compliance with road traffic laws, etc.
However, according to Principal Dinh Xuan Khoa, many students today have good academic performance but are not really proactive in approaching scientific research activities. Many students, although having the qualities and abilities, are afraid of difficulties, are not passionate, and do not spend time on research, so the quality of the topics is not high.

In addition, some staff and lecturers, especially young lecturers, have not paid due attention to this activity, and have not provided guidance or developed plans for students. This has forced students to explore on their own, significantly affecting the results of scientific research.
To promote this activity in the coming time, Vinh University has set out many tasks to be implemented such as: faculties and departments must pay more attention to scientific research activities of students; continue to organize scientific research forms among students in both breadth and depth; develop specific content and plans and assign tasks to staff and lecturers in discovering and nurturing students...
