High-tech vegetable and fruit growing net house with income of 1-1.5 billion VND/ha/year

(Baonghean.vn) - Up to now, the area of ​​vegetable and fruit production in the province applying safe standard production processes (VietGAP, Organic) has reached 425 hectares of cultivated area.

Of which, people invested 288 hectares, enterprises invested 137 hectares; the average value reached 250 - 300 million VND/ha, 2 - 3 times higher than traditional production.

Some areas with high incomes such as the high-tech vegetable and fruit production area in Nghia Son commune, Nghia Dan district, invested by the International Clean Vegetable and Fruit Production and Supply Joint Stock Company, a member unit of TH Group, currently have 9 greenhouses with a total area of ​​4.5 hectares; 14.7 hectares of organic vegetable production fields meeting European standards and over 100 hectares of open fields producing according to VietGAP process.

The average yield of many types of vegetables and fruits in the greenhouse (5,000 m2/house) reaches 25 - 30 tons/house/crop (about 50 to 60 tons/ha/crop, depending on the type of vegetable and fruit), increasing 3 - 5 times, and profits increasing more than 3 times. The total investment capital for this project is 670 billion VND with a total area used to produce clean vegetables and fruits of 130 hectares.

In other localities, safe vegetable production models have also been built according to VietGAP process with a total area of ​​about 55 hectares such as: Dien Thanh commune (Dien Chau) 20 hectares; Nghi Lien, Nghi An communes (Vinh city) about 15 hectares; Hung Khanh, Hung Long, Hung Phu (Hung Nguyen) 9.5 hectares and Xuan Hoa, Nam Anh, Van Dien communes (Nam Dan) about 10 hectares.

In addition, in the safe vegetable production area according to VietGAP process in the coastal communes of Quynh Luu district, Hoang Mai town, there are currently 30 hectares granted VietGAP certificates including Quynh Luong, Quynh Bang, Quynh Minh, Quynh Lien communes, annually planting about 600 - 800 hectares/3 crops. The coastal areas of Quynh Luu district have built fields with high income from 150 - 170 million VND/ha/year, with green onions alone reaching 270 million VND/ha/year.

In particular, many models of vegetable and fruit production applying science and technology have been implemented, typically the construction of net houses with a scale of 2,000 - 3,000 m2/house, equipped with automatic irrigation systems combined with fertilization in localities such as Nam Dan, Con Cuong, Anh Son; net houses in Dien Chau. Net house models for growing vegetables and fruits all bring in an income of about 1 - 1.5 billion VND per hectare of net house/year.
