100 former Lao students visited their old school and teachers in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - 100 former Lao students who studied in Vietnam visited their old school and teachers in Nghe An.
Attending the ceremony were Associate Professor Dr. Kongsy Sengmany - Deputy Minister of Education and Sports of Lao PDR; Major General, Dr. Van Huong NanthaChak - Director of the Lao PDR Security Academy and 100 former Lao students who studied in Vietnam.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the Department of Education and Training; leaders of departments, branches, sectors and universities and colleges in the area.

On the evening of December 26, as part of the activities of returning to the source, visiting the old school and teachers in Vietnam, a group of former students from the Lao PDR visited Nghe An province, the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh - who, together with President Kaysone Phomvihane, laid the foundation for the special traditional friendship between the two Parties, two States and peoples of Vietnam and Laos.
This is also an activity to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

During their stay in Vietnam, the delegation members returned to visit the lands and schools they were once attached to; met with their old teachers, who had devoted themselves to teaching and guiding generations of students to reminisce about their time studying in Vietnam.
