V.League loses to Thai League and Malaysia League
(Baonghean.vn) – Clubs in the Southeast Asian region are looking for ways to “gut” quality players from the V.League and Hanoi Club has become the first victim.
Striker Hoang Vu Samson officially joined Buriram United yesterday. Although a few days ago, the Hanoi Club's leadership insisted that the 29-year-old striker of Nigerian origin would continue to play in the V.League.
This naturalized player will play in the Thai League as a foreign player in the Southeast Asian region. The transfer fee and the agreement on benefits have not been disclosed, but it is likely that the amount of money that the 2017 Thai League champion will spend is not small because the contract between Samson and Hanoi FC has up to two years left.
In fact, Hanoi FC does not want to lose its main star and is trying every way to keep Samson. However, the V.League giant’s loss of power is also clearly shown when the regional press and the AFF Website have published this information for nearly half a month now.
Not only that, before that, on December 28, Hanoi FC announced that they had parted ways with central defender Alvaro Silva, the destination of this foreign player is Thailand. Regional press confirmed that Sukhothai FC (Thailand) had reached an agreement with A. Silva and everything was almost completed.
However, less than a day after Hanoi FC sent their gratitude to Alvaro Silva, a Malaysian team, Kedah FC, suddenly announced that they had successfully recruited this central defender. This abnormality is enough to show that Thai and Malaysian football seem to want to "swallow" V.League.

At the moment in V.League, clubs like FLC Thanh Hoa or Ho Chi Minh City Club are recruiting heavily, while other teams are still sitting still. While clubs from Thailand and Malaysia are actively looking for quality players, national players from the region are joining.
Even a financially strong club like Hanoi cannot retain its good foreign players and bitterly watches players "turn over" to a better destination, which is enough to understand how attractive and developed regional football is.
In the past, striker Leandro (Brazil) also left Hai Phong and B. Binh Duong clubs to join Thai League, playing for Port, Bangkok Glass and Samut Prakan respectively before retiring. In 2012, SLNA club also had to watch striker Dickson Nwakaeme (Nigeria) go to Malaysia Super League before joining Angers SCO in Ligue 1 (French National Championship)./.
