Nature is always colorful. Besides the things and colors that always go together, there are still strange but extremely beautiful "couples" that you may not believe your eyes.
Pink Lake
Lake Hillier is a saltwater lake approximately 600 m long and 250 m wide on Middle Island, the largest island in the Recherche Archipelago, off the southern coast of Australia.
This is one of the most special lakes in the world, famous for its natural pink color that does not change when water is removed from the lake.
According to the Lake Hillier information page, the cause of this unique pink color is still not agreed upon in the scientific community. Most believe that the microalgaeDunaliella salinacan produce carotenoids - a component found in carrots, which is the "culprit".
Many years ago, people mined salt in the lake, but today the lake is only used for tourism purposes.
According to this site, the lake water is very clean and does not harm the skin, and at the same time, microalgaeDunaliella salinaalso harmless to humans.
Blue lava

Kawah Ijen is a mountain in a 20km wide volcanic caldera in eastern Java, Indonesia, notable for its acidic lake and large amounts of sulfur.
By pageNational Geographic, the blue light from the volcano is definitely not lava but light from the burning of sulfur gas.
Sulfur moves to the surface with lava through cracks in volcanoes under high pressure and temperatures up to 600 degrees Celsius. When exposed to air, sulfur burns with a blue flame.
The lava flows downhill, giving the lava the appearance of being blue.
Indonesian miners will tap this sulfur stream through trenches. The sulfur stream will reach the end of the pipe and turn pale yellow as it cools.
Blood rain

"Blood" rain has occurred several times in the Indian state of Kelara since 2001. In December 2012, a similar phenomenon was recorded in Sri Lanka.
"Blood" rain is a phenomenon in which water falls like rain but is red like blood. This is a mystery that challenges scientists around the world to find an answer.
The Kerala Meteorological Department confirmed that this is a rare natural phenomenon but not dangerous.
By pageThe Huffington PostThis 'blood' does not have a normal DNA structure but can reproduce and survive well at temperatures up to 300 degrees Celsius.
Many hypotheses have been put forward, such as red dust dissolved in water (dust rain), or caused by meteorites or even extraterrestrial objects.
It is also believed that the red color of rainwater is a result of air pollution. Pollutants are dissolved in the rainwater, causing the water to turn red.
A study published in the journalPhylogenetics and Evolutionary BiologyIt is believed that the blood rain was caused by the presence of green algae.Trentepohlia annulataoriginally from Europe.
In addition to "blood" rain, Kelara residents also witnessed other colorful rains such as green, yellow, brown, and black.
White Rainbow

By pageEarth Sky, the formation mechanism of white rainbow also known as fog rainbow is the same as that of ordinary rainbow.
The necessary condition for a rainbow to form is that the air must contain a lot of raindrops that help disperse sunlight. With a white rainbow, the phenomenon of light dispersion occurs through small water droplets in fog or clouds, not larger raindrops.
A white rainbow can be seen in a thin layer of fog when the Sun is shining. Because the water droplets in the fog are very small, the colors of a white rainbow are quite faint.
The white rainbow is as large as a regular 7-color rainbow but much wider.
"When observing, the sun must be at an altitude of about 30-40°, or you must be standing on a high hill where you can see the mist and white rainbow from above," said Les Cowley - an expert working for the website.Atmospheric Optics, said.

The beaches of Vaadhoo Island, Maldives are also known by the beautiful name "sea of stars".
During the day, the sea looks normal, but when the sun goes down, the "sea of stars" really comes to life with a magical luminescent blue that mesmerizes visitors.
Explaining this mystery, scientists believe that the beach glows thanks to a type of plankton calledLingulodinium polyedrumhave the ability to glow in seawater. The ability to glow helps them avoid the prying eyes of predators.
It may seem strange that glowing to "give away" oneself is a way to hide. But predators are often afraid to go to places with light at night because they might encounter their enemies there.
