(Baonghean.vn) - According to information from the Traffic Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police, during the 3-day New Year holiday, the whole province handled 727 cases of traffic safety violations, collecting 227,640 million VND to the state budget.

During the 3-day New Year holiday, from December 30, 2017 to January 1, 2018, there was 1 traffic accident in the province, injuring 2 people and damaging 2 motorbikes. Compared to the same period last year, the number of accidents remained unchanged, with 1 death and 2 injuries.

According to the assessment of the leaders of the Traffic Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police, the traffic situation during the 3-day holiday was quite stable, with no traffic jams. The traffic police force conducted 235 patrols and controls with 879 officers and soldiers participating.

Through inspection, 727 violations were recorded, of which 118 cases involved passenger cars, 210 cases involved trucks, 37 cases involved cars, 6 cases involved buses, 2 cases involved taxis and 354 cases involved motorcyclists. 3 cars and 60 motorbikes were temporarily detained, and 227,640 million VND was paid to the state budget.
